Here is a FDC I got at a Stamp Show in Santa Barbara several years ago. This was an interesting stamp series from The United Kingdom issued in 1977. It has an insert with information on the 12 Days of Christmas, the artist who designed the stamps, and the artist who designed the FDC.

I saw the eggs under the geese, so they are indeed "a layin'", but are those little berets on the hens?
I just checked the envelope and they are not berets. So there is no way to tell if they are really French Hens!
